There is no removal of tissue, resulting in virtually no corneal haze, which means great vision almost instantly.
ICL is able to treat up to -20.0 diopters, while LASIK would not be suitable for high powered patients with limitation of cornea thickness.
Unlike LASIK, no corneal tissue is permanently removed or reshaped during the ICL procedure.
ICL does not induce dry eyes, and is suitable for patients who have pre-existing dry eye problems.
An important advantage is that while the ICL can permanently correct your vision, it can be removed and/or replaced if necessary.
